I work as a marketing intern at RockeTalk. And being in USA, I must consider a number of factors before calling or texting my family or friends in other countries, for example time difference, and call or text charges.

After getting acquainted with RockeTalk, I introduced it to my family and friends back in India.  Before, if I wanted to talk to my old friends (most of whom are in India) I had two options either I could call them or I could wait for them to come online on an IM.  Plus the time difference made it very difficult, because when they are awake I am asleep and vice a versa.

So I asked couple of my closest friends to download RockeTalk on their mobile phones.  And now it’s so easy, and convenient for all of us to be in regular contact and that too without spending hundreds of dollars on calls or text messages.

One of these closest friends is getting married and I’m not able go to India to attend it. As soon as I told her I couldn’t attend, she immediately sent me a voice and picture message via RockeTalk that had 3-4 snaps of her wedding dress.

Her next voice message to me was “I am going to miss you, but don’t worry.   You will not miss a single thing.   You will get all sorts of photos and video clips of the whole event.”   It’s the next best thing to being there.
