Instead of those ‘cut and paste’ text (SMS) messages, why not do something different- something that is truly you? What if we do half the work- provide the card and you add your own message in voice or text right from cell phone? Karo kuchh hut kar. Andaaz apna apna ya phir hum hain naye andaaz kyon ho purana?
If you can use the web browser from your phone, you can send a RockeTalk card. As simple as that. Go on try it out. It is absolutely free. What’s more, you can attach your voice (if your phone allows recording- first record your voice and then attach to the card of your choice and send to your special person. What the heck- go on send it everyone on your email list or phone book.
How it works:.
1. Go to http://wap.rockeTalk.com
2. Click on the Valentine’s Day link (banner).
3. Select a card.
4. Add your special message.
5. Send it to a phone number (cell phone) or an email address.
6. Repeat. (To as many people as you like. If you’re not telling, so aren’t we.)
May we suggest, for a better RockeTalk experience, if you have a compatible phone and a data connection, why not download the RockeTalk application for yourself and for your friends and get lots of free things like- free voice messaging, free picture messaging, free video share, free chatrooms,free Yahoo, Gmail, MSN etc, free entertainment, free new friends … you get the idea. Plus- the freedom of expression. Now shouldn’t that be your Valentine’s day treat for yourself? After all, love is the highest form of self expression. Come on, you can do it J. Record a song in your voice on your phone and attach it to the card. (Pssst …. Love songs work. Even if you can’t sing. It is the thought that matters. Inside RockeTalk: A sneak-peek
Hey RockeTalkers!
As we wrap up 2009 and step into 2010, we take this opportunity to give you a glimpse of what goes on, on RockeTalk. Meet new people? Keeping up with friends? Hangout place? Instant Messenger usage? Picture messages? Videos? Games? Discussions? Flirting? What is it that keeps so many people engaged and coming back again and again? What is it that compels them to log in as soon as they open their eyes and sleep with their RockeTalk phones still in hands or next to their ears? Waiting for that Buzz in someone special’s voice? Is the voice factor so addictive? What is it that keeps RockeTalk buzzing? What makes these online connections as strong as, or at times, stronger than family ties.
As we get to the 1 million users mark, there are some interesting patterns that seem to be emerging. New data, user behaviour- from communication to entertainment, from serious debates on social issues to participating in contests, it is a pleasure to interact with all of you and get to know you.
So here is what ‘the-guy-who-is-always-on’ has to say about what goes on:

I wanted to take this opportunity of the arrival of 2010 to highlight a few highlights of “what happens inside RockeTalk?”
A lot of activity occurs and it is hard to categorize what goes on…..so much goes on in the form of personal messages, exchanging ideas, flirting, singing songs, shaayari, jokes, playing contests, listening to talk shows, creating photos and videos, intense debates on various topics, connecting into Yahoo/Gtalk/MSN IM, family members connecting with other family members, following news and weather reports sent out by our users from cities across the world…….the list is long!
Here are some of the statistics that will give you a quantitative idea:
75M messages viewed (or played back) in the last month!
(over 2.4 Million messages in a 24 hour day)
Of these, 22% are voice (or audio messages – that means you guys talked a lot, sang songs, debated a lot……).
Over 11 Million photo/images and videos were viewed in the last month;
Over 3.4 Million profiles were viewed in the last month;
Over 3 Million Buzzes sent last month;
Over 2.6 Million searches for users within RockeTalk were made in the last month;
Over 2.5 Million comments were viewed;
Approx. 1 Million Friend Requests were sent out;
2511 new communities were created within this last month;

We know what you did last night ;)
The Wake-a-Thons are done for now, I was going through the fun things we all did. We got to know each other better. There was a lot of teasing, a lot of leg pulling, a lot of encouragement and a lot many friendships that came about as a result of these ’spent-the-night-with-you’ events.

RockeTalk eXhausted Wake-a-Thon week 3
Winner of Last Week’s RockeTalk Wake-a-Thon Jitendra (Jeete)! Jeete won an iPod. Congratulations!!! 
The Wake-a-Thon is a great experience to get to know a large group of people. People who did not talk much in the communities and were rather quiet – opened p and quickly warmed up to the group setting. A resounding comment from them all to each other was- “I spent the nite with you- add me as a friend!” Needless to say I got a lot of material to tease them with on that spending the night together bit – by that time they were tired and sleepy and the words weren’t coming out quite right.
The ones who made it through the night all get Rs 500/- from RockeTalk towards their GPRS

I think I can, I think I could..
That is exactly what we at RockeTalk asked you. Why did you think your video should be aired on Channel [V] during the eXhausted show? It is your short cut to fame- get your entry in for the Wake-a-thon and yours just might be the one!
We were overwhelmed by the responses and the different sides of you all when you are were asked to talk about yourself. From the very basic- ‘I should be’ to very elaborate answers – to even when you all took it on as a political campaign- getting others to talk about you. Boy, you were all so right, India has talent- that’s for sure.
We are having fun putting the Wake-a-Thon shows together with your help of course- but please keep in mind- when you suggest the tasks for the contestants, you could be in the hot seat next. So….. please don’t seriously suggest we hang each contestant upside for the night and see who makes it
But seriously, some of the best ideas come from you and we really appreciate your time and patience, especially with me, and your enthusiasm, zeal, friendly voices every single day. I wake to your voices each day- and I love it.
If you are wondering what Wake-a-Thon is, it is a parallel show in response and in continuation of Channel V’s eXhausted, (Yes, they are trying to woo the MTV Roadies audiences) where ‘regular’ folks can join in the fun without having to travel- right from their mobile phones. The participants – compete and the others give them tasks to do through the night. Fun thing, as it is multimedia- folks got to send in pictures, videos and responses in their own voices. And the rest of us get to tease, cheer or boo (nah- we don’t really boo do we?)
As we cannot show hundreds of your entries on here, so here is a sample of what people sent in last week- it is just a few- hey I pushed it- I was told to choose only 5- at least I got 9 in. The much awaited ‘Mirchi’ release :)
Finally here! The much awaited new release, fondly referred to as the ‘Mirchi’ release because of the new ‘What’s Hot’ look- with flames and a bright red chili pepper, is now available to a limited group of users. It is scheduled to go live for everyone this weekend.
Not everything is visible all at once; there are several changes you will notice as you use the application. Notable new features added by popular demand:
1. Extended video recording- Yep! You asked for it, you got it. Now you can send longer videos from your phones to other RockeTalkers’ phones or any email address and post your fun videos to the Gallery. All the better for your citizen journalism needs and to send those family video to all your family and friends!
2. Those ever popular Smileys or emoticons – yes they are finally there to use in an easy way.
3. The much asked for BUZZ for friends … well you asked for it, we did it. We made it even more exciting- giving you the option to record your own Buzz. Don’t be surprised when your friends catch you off gaurd sending you some intersting stuff.. lol.. we wish we could see your faces when someone sent you one of those naughty ones.
Hmmm.. not sure what a Buzz is? A Buzz is a way to wake up your friends who are online but are quiet or… use it just for entertainment.. we leave that to your imagination.
You will see little changes happening in the background almost on a daily basis over the next several weeks.
Keep those suggestions coming and we’ll see how we can all work to make your RockeTalk en more fun and meaningful.
